Accountabilities: As a Senior DevOps / Tools Engineer, you will own the design, development, and continuous improvement of the infrastructure and tooling that supports game production. You will help create reliable, scalable workflows that enable development teams to focus on building exceptional products.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting multiple game projects and development environments.
- Build and improve automated build, packaging, testing, and deployment workflows.
- Develop internal tools and automation solutions that improve productivity across engineering, art, QA, design, and production teams.
- Leverage AI tools and automation agents to reduce repetitive tasks and optimize development workflows.
- Maintain systems for crash reporting, diagnostics, telemetry, and build health monitoring.
- Partner with technical teams to improve build infrastructure, version control integrations, artifact management, and development environments.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify workflow challenges and deliver scalable technical solutions.
- Improve infrastructure security, reliability, monitoring, and operational best practices.
- Support and optimize development pipelines across different platforms and projects.
- Create clear documentation for tools, systems, and processes to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has strong DevOps experience within software development environments and enjoys solving complex engineering challenges. You should be comfortable working with automation, infrastructure, scripting, and developer tooling while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Previous experience working on AAA game projects and familiarity with large-scale game development pipelines.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools and build automation systems such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Strong scripting and programming skills using languages such as Python, C#, PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent.
- Experience with modern development practices, including AI-assisted tooling and automation workflows.
- Strong understanding of source control systems such as Git, Perforce, or similar, including branching and release strategies.
- Experience supporting game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary engines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Familiarity with crash reporting and analytics platforms such as Backtrace, Sentry, Crashpad, Bugsplat, or similar is a plus.
- Experience with release engineering, certification pipelines, or console platform tooling is a plus.
