About the role:

As a Project Engineering Supervisor you will support new plant deployment opportunities, with primary focus on the Bulgaria AP1000 program for Kozloduy Units 7 and 8.

As a people manager you will coordinate APX Projects and functional engineering groups to assign and guide engineers toward achieving project goals. You are a high‑performing, self‑starting, solution‑oriented engineering leader looking for continued professional growth.

The APX Product Operations organization missions include:

  • Integrate APX Engineering Services input to support new build offers and projects.
  • Manage APX Engineering Services scope for programs aimed at improving the international marketability and delivery of AP1000 projects.
  • Lead and integrate APX Engineering Services scope to support new build market development, early works, FEED, and ESC contracts (up to the establishment of an EPC project-specific organization).
  • Develop international project engineering resources to support future new build projects (up to the establishment of an EPC project-specific organization).

You will report to the Senior Project Engineering Manager and be located in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Model of work: hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support to a team of 15–20 project engineers across multiple early‑works AP1000 projects with primary focus on the Kozloduy 7&8 AP1000 project.
  • Ensure team operations and adherence to safety, quality, cost, performance, and schedule expectations.
  • Provide trained and qualified resources to support project execution, aligning assignments with developmental goals wherever possible.
  • Develop team skills, including training compliance, technical leadership development, and mentoring.
  • Ensure work activities are completed and that the team is following established Westinghouse procedures and defined scopes.
  • Communicate with all levels of management.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback as delegated by the manager.
  • Ensure engineering tasks are understood and that required resources are available.
  • Manage resource workload and assignments to minimize downtime and maintain high productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience with leading mid‑ to large‑scale cross‑functional engineering teams in design or EPC environments.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally (up to 25% during peak periods).
  • Very good English and Bulgarian language skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
