Description

Captivation Software is looking for a senior level software engineer who will be in a extremely customer facing role leading multi faceted mission critical system development, deployment and evolution. The successful candidate will be focusing on the development, deployment, and administration of complex systems using C++ or Python, Kubernetes, and GPU technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our satellite communication systems, from development to deployment, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets user requirements.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

  • Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Twenty (20) years of experience as a SWE is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university is required

Desired Skills:

  • Kubernetes cluster design, deployment, and lifecycle management
  • Specifically Rancher, RKE2 implementation
  • Controle plane component configuration and troubleshooting
  • Worker node management, configuration, and lifecycle automation
  • Workload management (scheduling, affinity, resources, scaling)
  • High availability cluster configuration
  • Cluster monitoring
  • Cluster networking
  • Cluster storage (storage classes, PVC, PC) and integration with external storage systems
  • Kubernetes security concepts and implementation (RBAC, service accounts, secrets, certificate management, policy engines)

  • Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
