Execute, automate, validate, and support operating system upgrade projects across AWS environments while ensuring minimal downtime, operational readiness, compliance, and security. Key Responsibilities Discovery & Preparation • Perform server discovery and OS inventory validation. • Verify application compatibility and prerequisite requirements. • Identify upgrade candidates and remediation actions. • Participate in dependency mapping and readiness assessments. • Validate backup and recovery configurations before upgrade activities. Upgrade Execution • Execute operating system upgrades for: • Perform: o In-place upgrades o Side-by-side migrations o OS rebuilds and replacements • Support upgrade execution during maintenance windows and cutover periods. AWS Platform Operations • Build and maintain Golden AMIs using: o EC2 Image Builder o AWS Systems Manager Automation • Update Launch Templates and Auto Scaling Groups. • Configure and validate upgraded EC2 instances. • Support server replacement and migration activities
