Full description

Regional Engineers are part of an agile, highly technical resource group with excellent research & troubleshooting skills – enabling informed, yet fast decision making to deliver the business needs. They can easily work on multiple projects with varying technical complexity across LATAM, within SCJ Sites, and External Manufacturers (EMs).

This role requires Project Management capability to deliver key SCJ programs that require stewardship and reapplication across the region - ensuring sites have robust execution plans in place for capital spending, scheduling, equipment design and resource sufficiency that enables speed and overcomes barriers to deliver with excellence.

From an external perspective, the Regional Engineer is routinely consulted to assess capabilities of new and existing SCJ manufacturing network partners, while providing critical analysis of new product sourcing proposals to enable sourcing decisions.

Finally, in their capacity as PMO, this role will work closely with the Engineering Director and senior Engineering leadership to support key business and operational priorities. This includes preparing insightful analyses, coordinating and managing cross-regional tools and processes, gathering data and inputs from LATAM sites, and synthesizing information into clear recommendations and executive-ready updates. The role offers a unique opportunity to gain direct visibility, build strong connections across regional teams, and contribute to initiatives with high visibility and impact across the organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Engineering resource for New Initiatives, Capacity, and Manufacturing Capability projects that typically span across the region.
  • Influence Design for Manufacturing and shape project scope to deliver holistic project intent at any target production sites, including use of modelling and simulation.
  • Support project execution including success criteria development, and join design / technical readiness reviews to ensure robust approach – following the Engineering Work Process as appropriate.
  • Represent LATAM Eng in Tech Reviews, RAP Meetings, and other routines that involve the whole region. 
  • Support line qualifications to foster vertical startups and seamless delivery to Operations teams.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing/Technical experience with robust understanding of manufacturing operations technologies, capabilities and process limitations.
  • Fluent English and Spanish
  • Usage of MS Office Suite, PowerBI or Tableau, and AI prompting. 
  • Ability to create reports, dashboards, trackers, and presentations using data from multiple sources.
  • Experience using project management or portfolio tools like MS Project.

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Previous experience in CPG or Pharmaceutical Companies, across both internal plant engineering teams and in Contract Manufacturing management / support.
  • Project management and/or process improvement skills proven success
  • Excellent communication, leadership skills, and strong team player
  • Knowledge of Quality and Safety Standards
  • Knowledge of electrical devices technology and assembly process
  • Ability to deal with complexity and manage ambiguity
