Backend Java Developer - Java Version 17+, Springboot and AWS

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Backend Java Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, develop and maintain high-performance, reliable backend services and applications using Java and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address them Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automatization

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-8 years of experience in backend development with Java (Java 17+) Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem (Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Batch) Expertise in building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture Proficient with testing frameworks including JUnit, Mockito Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases Familiarity with containerisation using Docker Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms Version control with Git

• Preferred Skills & Experience Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message brokers (Solace, Kafka, RabbitMQ) CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform) Experience with distributed systems and related patterns Monitoring and observability tools (Grafana stack) Agile/Scrum methodology experience

• Personal Qualities Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Familiarity with AI coding agents and tools.
