Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Data Product Analyst Co-op to join our Data Management department located at our Animal Health headquarters in Johns Creek, GA. As Data Product Analyst Co-op you will help translate business needs into clear data requirements and supports the development and improvement of data products. The role assists with analysis, validation, and documentation to ensure data products are accurate, useful, and aligned with stakeholder goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support data product development activities, including gathering requirements, documenting user needs, and assisting in defining product features.

• Help analyze datasets to identify trends, validate assumptions, and generate insights that inform data product enhancements.

• Assist with data modeling and mapping, ensuring clear understanding of data sources, transformations, and business rules.

• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for new or updated data products, documenting defects and working with technical teams on resolutions.

• Create and maintain documentation, such as data dictionaries, feature descriptions, requirements logs, and workflow diagrams.

• Contribute to the creation of dashboards and reports that communicate product performance, usage patterns, and data insights.

• Support backlog management by helping write user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and ensuring items are properly organized and updated.

• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with product expectations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including engineering, data science, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather feedback and refine data solutions.

• Monitor data product usage metrics, summarize findings, and suggest potential improvements or opportunities for optimization.

• Assist with prototyping and exploratory analysis to help evaluate new features or enhancements before full development.

• Participate in agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to support product development processes.

• Help maintain product roadmaps by documenting timelines, deliverables, and dependencies.

• Research industry data product trends and best practices to support continuous improvement in product design and user experience.

Requirements

  • Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
  • Student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship/co-op.
  • Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred.
  • Major or minor in related field of internship/co-op.
  • Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university.
  • Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
