As a Financial Analyst supporting WAM Asia Hong Kong Accounting and Reporting, you will play a critical role in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple business units in Asia. This opportunity will allow you to gain regional exposure by partnering with stakeholders across Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and other Asian markets while contributing to month-end and quarter-end financial close activities. Through your work, you will help ensure the integrity of financial information that supports business decision-making and operational excellence. Position Responsibilities:
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, financial statements, and management reports.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reporting, consolidation activities, commentary, and variance analysis for WAM Asia business units.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across Asia to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of accounting and reporting requirements.
- Maintain accounting and reporting controls, documentation, and support internal and external audit requirements.
- Contribute to regional finance initiatives, process improvements, standardization efforts, and ad hoc business requests.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant finance experience in financial reporting, management accounting, consolidation, financial analysis, or related finance functions.
- ntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel with experience handling large volumes of financial data and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- More than 2-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or reporting functions.
- Experience in Shared Services, Global Business Services, Insurance, Investments, Banking, Asset Management, or similar industries.
- Experience with management reporting, financial commentary, month-on-month variance analysis, and consolidation activities.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Essbase, Infor, or other financial reporting and analytics tools is an advantage.
