Job Description

As a Principal Engineer, you'll shape the technical direction and architecture of our Java-based CRM domain, working across multiple engineering squads to build scalable, resilient, and future-ready platforms. this job offers you hybrid model for Hyderabad location.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll partner with different teams. These teams include Tech Leads, Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams. Together, you'll define domain-level technical strategy, solve complex cross-cutting challenges, and lead engineering excellence. This excellence will be lead across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

You'll help modernize our platforms, accelerating the use of AI-assisted engineering practices, and identifying opportunities to apply AI and experienced automation across our technology landscape.

• Define and lead the technical strategy and architecture for Java-based CRM platforms across multiple squads.
• Design complex, scalable, and secure solutions aligned with business and product goals.
• Provide architectural guidance to Tech Leads and engineering teams.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Architecture leaders to align domain and enterprise technology strategies.
• Lead platform modernization plans, including microservices, event-driven systems, cloud-native solutions, and legacy transformation.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering practices to improve productivity, software quality, testing, observability, and delivery.
• Identify opportunities to embed AI and automation into engineering platforms and business solutions.
• Establish engineering standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns across teams.
• Develop architectural roadmaps, technical documentation, RFCs, and important design decisions.
• Lead technical discovery, proof-of-concepts, and technology evaluations.
• Enhance system performance, scalability, reliability, and observability while reducing technical debt.
• Mentor Tech Leads and senior engineers, encouraging across the domain.
• Collaborate across teams to manage dependencies and guide engineering practices.
• Support technical hiring, talent development, and the broader engineering community.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Data/JPA, Security).
• Experience designing large-scale, distributed, microservices, and event-driven systems (Kafka or similar).
• Expertise in system architecture, API design, domain-driven design, and enterprise platform engineering.
• 7+ years of experience with cloud-native technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, relational and NoSQL databases.
• Track record in building scalable, secure, resilient, and observable platforms.
• Experience leading architectural decisions, technical roadmaps, modernization programs, and cross-team programs.
• Experience with secure coding, application security, and vulnerability management.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software engineering tools, Generative AI, LLMs, and AI integration patterns.
• Implement AI and automation opportunities that deliver benefits.
• Delivery-focused mindset with experience with engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
• Experience with CRM platforms such as Optimove, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Braze, or similar.
• Knowledge of customer engagement, campaign management, and marketing technology ecosystems.
• Experience integrating CRM platforms with CDPs, analytics, and personalisation solutions.
• Exposure to AI-driven campaign optimisation, customer segmentation, and recommendation systems.
• Experience operating large-scale customer-facing CRM platforms with a focus on reliability, compliance, and customer experience.
