Full description

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will design, build, automate, and operate enterprise-grade Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms. You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-native platform capabilities.

This role requires a strong engineering mindset, hands-on development experience, and expertise in platform automation, API integration, CI/CD, and GitOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, administer, and upgrade Kubernetes and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters.
  • Develop platform capabilities using automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
  • Build integrations between platform services and enterprise systems through APIs and automation frameworks.
  • Design and implement CI/CD and GitOps solutions using tools such as GitHub, Argo CD, and Tekton.
  • Develop and maintain platform components using Go, Python, or equivalent programming languages.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to build scalable and resilient cloud-native solutions.
  • Implement platform observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting practices.
  • Contribute to platform architecture, security, reliability, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Support microservices-based workloads and distributed systems running on container platforms.

Qualifications

Required

  • 6-10 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Strong experience administering Kubernetes and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), including cluster deployment, upgrades, lifecycle management, and automation.
  • Proficiency in software development with strong object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Hands-on development experience in Go, Python, or a similar programming language.
  • Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools such as GitHub, Argo CD, and Tekton.
  • Experience designing and integrating APIs with an API-first engineering approach.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing platform solutions as an individual contributor.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud-native design principles.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Kubernetes Operators and Custom Controllers
  • Service Mesh technologies such as Istio
  • Observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Dynatrace, or similar tools
  • Storage technologies such as Ceph and OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF)
  • Secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault
  • Hybrid cloud and private cloud environments
  • Platform security, governance, and compliance best practices
