You will be:
- leading the technical delivery of new features from design through implementation and production,
- collaborating with architects to ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment with the overall technical strategy,
- designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality backend applications using Java and Spring Boot,
- driving improvements to platform architecture, engineering practices, and development standards,
- monitoring, maintaining, and continuously improving production services,
- participating in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, and deployment,
- mentoring and supporting other developers through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and technical guidance,
- contributing to architectural discussions and promoting technical excellence across the engineering team.
Your profile:
- 7+ years of commercial experience in Java development, including experience in a technical leadership role,
- strong hands-on experience with Java 17+,
- solid knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate, and SQL,
- experience designing and developing microservices and RESTful APIs,
- practical experience with TDD, BDD, and automated testing,
- strong understanding of object-oriented design, software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices,
- experience working in Agile environments and within a DevOps culture,
- practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,
- ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and mentor development teams,
- excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills,
- good command of English (min. B2).
• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Nice to have:
- experience with AWS cloud services,
- familiarity with JUnit, Cucumber, Selenium WebDriver, or similar testing frameworks,
- knowledge of XML and JSON,
- experience working with Unix/Linux and shell scripting,
- experience with large-scale databases,
- familiarity with Git, Maven, Jenkins, Tomcat, and Apache,
- basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,
