About this opportunity
At Lloyds Banking Group, we’re building the bank of the future—secure, resilient, and designed for scale. Security must be embedded from the outset, not applied retrospectively.
Cyber Security Assured Design sits at the heart of this ambition. We enable secure-by-design principles across platforms and applications, ensuring that modern architectures—particularly cloud-native and microservices-based solutions—are built to meet both security and business outcomes from day one.
Working closely with engineering, architecture, and platform teams, you’ll help shape secure design patterns, standards, and reusable components across our GCP ecosystem. This is an opportunity to influence at scale, embedding security into the development lifecycle and accelerating delivery through automation and simplification.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing, developing, and evolving secure design patterns for cloud-native and microservices architectures
- Building and maintaining reusable security components, frameworks, and reference implementations
- Developing Python-based services, tooling, or automation to enable secure-by-design adoption
- Supporting engineering teams in embedding security controls within CI/CD pipelines
- Working with GCP services to design scalable, resilient, and secure architectures
- Translating security requirements into practical, developer-friendly implementations
- Contributing to and maintaining secure design documentation, standards, and guidance
- Collaborating with architects and product teams to ensure security is embedded early in design decisions
- Continuously improving developer experience and self-service security capabilities
