Data Engineer

Location: Remote Full Time Contract:12-18 Months

About the Role

We are looking for someone who can scale‑up revolutionizing workplace operations by digitizing and streamlining HR, Payroll, Finance, and Insurance processes, empowering organizations across the MENA region to work smarter and more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain scalable data models (3NF, Dimensional, Data Vault) in the data warehouse and data lakes.
  • Build, optimize, and monitor batch and real-time ETL/ELT data pipelines and automation workflows.
  • Tune complex SQL query performance to enable fast, reliable reporting via BI tools.
  • Implement data quality, governance, lineage, and Master Data Management (Customer 360) strategies.
  • Integrate external and internal data sources to deliver unified, high-integrity data across systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred; diploma or equivalent
  • 3–4 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (complex query optimization) and Python.
  • Experience managing cloud Data Warehouses (BigQuery or Snowflake).
  • Hands-on experience within the AWS ecosystem.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling techniques (3NF, Dimensional Models, Data Vault).
  • Practical knowledge of Master Data Management (Customer 360) and Data Governance practices.
  • Expertise in ETL pipeline frameworks and orchestrators (Airflow, dbt, Airbyte, or AWS Firehose).
  • Experience applying software engineering processes such as Unit Testing and CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools (Looker or Superset).
