Job Title – Senior Engineer - Manufacturing Solutions

Job Location – Chennai, India

Reports to – Senior Manager - Manufacturing Solutions

Purpose of the Role

The Manufacturing Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production and high-quality products. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production & Quality, to develop and improve processes that meet both customer and company requirements.

Are you the One?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering
  • 5 to 8 years of experience at TIER 1 Automotive/ OEM Automotive / Elevator & Escalator Industry and other Equivalent industries
  • Expertise in Automation, Assembly Machines, PLC / HMI, Robotics
  • Good knowledge in AUTO CAD & other simulation software knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving and good communication skills.
  • Exposure to ISO, IATF16949, Six Sigma and APQP knowledge.
  • Good Presentation skill with logical thinking.
  • Certification in MTM & Ergonomics study

What will you be doing?

  • Lead development, validation, and roll-out of manufacturing processes as per internal and customer standards.
  • Drive automation initiatives from concept design to till line handover for routine management.
  • High knowledge in Work Instruction, PFMEA, Control Plans and other process documentation.
  • Lead feasibility studies, line layout design, cycle time optimization, and cost-down initiatives.
  • Drive the factory productivity & efficiency through Lean and digital manufacturing tools.
  • Manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets for process, automation, and maintenance initiatives.
  • Familiarity with APQP Process, Pre & Post acceptance processes with document knowledge.
  • Knowledge in MES process
