Summary: The Cybersecurity / DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s digital assets while enabling efficient, automated, and scalable software delivery. This dual-focused role bridges cybersecurity and DevOps practices to ensure robust system security, seamless deployment pipelines, and compliance with industry standards. The engineer is responsible for protecting both internal infrastructure and client-facing platforms by implementing proactive security measures, automating infrastructure provisioning, and maintaining high availability and performance across cloud environments. The position is vital to the organization’s resilience, operational efficiency, and trustworthiness in delivering secure technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
- Monitor systems for security threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalies.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate penetration testing, and perform risk analysis.
- Implement and manage endpoint, network, and cloud security controls.
- Administer identity and access management (IAM) policies and access governance.
- Investigate, respond to, and remediate security incidents and breaches.
- Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment.
- Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Manage and secure cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Monitor cloud resource usage, performance, and system availability.
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Deploy and manage system monitoring and alerting tools to ensure operational stability.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Maintain documentation for security policies, incident response procedures, and audit readiness.
- Conduct regular security audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
