Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the site's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, VPN, and related network equipment.
  • Ensure stable and reliable operation of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Internet, and inter-site network connectivity.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and utilization, and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Design and implement network solutions based on business and manufacturing requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in Network engineer jobs.
  • Networking Fundamentals: Understanding of networking concepts such as OSI model, TCP/IP protocol suite, subnetting, IP addressing, routing, and switching.
  • Networking Devices: Familiarity with networking devices like routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN appliances, and understanding their functionalities and configurations.
  • Network Protocols: Knowledge of common network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, etc.
  • Network Security: Understanding of common security threats and attack vectors, as well as knowledge of security measures such as firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), encryption techniques, etc.
  • Routing and Switching: Proficiency in routing protocols (e.g., RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and switching protocols (e.g., STP, VTP, EtherChannel), and ability to configure and manage routers and switches.
  • Network Monitoring: Ability to use network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, Zabbix) to monitor network traffic, health, and performance, and perform troubleshooting and optimization.
