We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Analyst to join our evolving finance team at Keyton. This role will support our Village Management team, based in our Buderim office in the Sunshine Coast 2-3 days a week, with the opportunity to work from home. Occasional travel to our villages will be required.
At Keyton, we are one team, and our Senior Finance Analyst will embody our values every day. Reporting through to the Regional Finance Manager in QLD, your key accountabilities in this role will be to:
- Build and foster professional relationships with various stakeholders both internal and external
- Support the Village Manager in the preparation and presentation of budgets, audited financial statements, and annual management meeting
- Supporting the completion of Village Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Supporting the completion of GST calculations, reconciliations, and submissions in line with Keyton tax timetable
- Prepare and collate documentation to support annual audit requirements
- Prepare Retirement Village’s annual financial statements
- Prepare Quarterly/Monthly reports for distribution to Village Manager and assist in presentation to Resident Committees
- Provide information and advice in a timely manner, seeking advice and escalating any items of concern or risk to the village or the business
- Ensure timely payment of outstanding balances to Keyton in line with cashflow ability of the village
- Ensure villages are operating in accordance with the QLD retirement living act requirements
- Prepare documentation of monthly processes and budget preparation
- Support the team with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiencies
Who You Are
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Accounting or Business/Commerce) and qualified or working towards your CA/CPA qualification
- Demonstrable experience in financial reporting, planning & analytics, or a related field
- Experience in management and financial reporting
- Strong Excel skills, Power BI and other accounting software system (highly regarded)
- Has exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships and effortlessly influence a diverse range of stakeholders; Experience in presenting financial information to an audience from a non-financial background
- Ability to work in an ever-changing environment working both autonomously and as part of a team and utilise a level of initiative
