Platform Engineer Sênior - DevOps (Time de Dados)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Platform Engineer Sênior - DevOps (Time de Dados) based in Brazil.

This is an opportunity to join a modern Data Platform team focused on building secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure for Data and AI workloads. You will play a key role in evolving cloud platforms and enabling engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions efficiently. The environment is strongly oriented toward DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, automation, observability, and continuous improvement. You will work extensively with AWS and Terraform while helping shape CI/CD practices and platform standards. The role also offers exposure to an evolving internal AI platform supporting LLM-based applications, agents, gateways, and interfaces. You’ll collaborate closely with Data, AI, and Infrastructure teams on technically challenging and business-critical initiatives. The position is remote-friendly, allowing you to work from anywhere in Brazil.

Accountabilities:

• Operate, maintain, and continuously evolve infrastructure supporting Data and AI platforms, ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and high availability.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, establishing reusable modules, consistent standards, and reliable deployment practices.

• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application validation, testing, and deployment.

• Support the internal AI platform by providing the infrastructure and operational foundations required for LLM gateways, AI agents, interfaces, and related workloads.

• Implement and evolve observability practices across supported platforms, including logging, metrics, alerting, monitoring, and incident troubleshooting.

• Partner closely with Data, AI, and Infrastructure teams to design practical solutions for critical, high-availability environments.

• Document technical decisions, operational processes, standards, and best practices to strengthen knowledge sharing and enable the continued growth of the platform.

• Contribute to platform standardization, reliability improvements, automation initiatives, and the continuous evolution of cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• Advanced professional experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE, with hands-on responsibility for supporting and evolving production environments in the cloud.

• Strong practical knowledge of AWS, including IAM and least-privilege principles, networking and security concepts such as VPCs, subnets, and security groups, as well as storage services such as S3.

• Experience with AWS compute services such as ECS, EKS, or Lambda for application execution and orchestration.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services including DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, ECR, Secrets Manager, and KMS.

• Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, including reusable module development, state and backend management, and infrastructure drift resolution.

• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining modern CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.

• Strong Git version-control skills and experience working in collaborative engineering environments with Pull Requests and Code Reviews.

• Experience with cloud observability and platform operations, including logs, metrics, alerts, system resilience, incident response, and troubleshooting.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills, with the ability to work effectively across Data, AI, and Infrastructure teams.

• Experience with Terragrunt, Databricks, Python or Go, Airflow, dbt, Metabase, internal AI platforms, LLM applications, PostgreSQL/RDS/Aurora, or regulated environments is considered a plus.

• Additional value is placed on experience with RAG, LLM gateways, AI agents, access-control and identity management, platform standardization, critical-environment improvements, and incident response.
