Full Stack Java Developer

As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will design, develop, test, and support scalable enterprise applications. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions that meet business and client requirements, leveraging modern Java technologies, web frameworks, microservices, cloud platforms, and relational databases.

What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed

Application Development

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise‑grade software applications and web‑based solutions.

• Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.

• Translate requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and sprint backlogs.

• Develop high‑quality, reusable, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices.

• Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable backend services.

• Integrate third‑party applications, APIs, and external services.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system test cases.

• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis of application issues.

• Automate testing processes and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.

• Document test results and ensure solutions meet functional and non‑functional requirements.

System Support & Performance

• Ensure application performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.

• Monitor and optimise database queries, application performance, and system resources.

• Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.

• Perform benchmarking, performance tuning, and capacity analysis.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

• Work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, UX Designers, and Development teams.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Deliver assigned features on schedule and support continuous integration and deployment practices.

• Contribute to technical documentation, coding standards, and security best practices.

Experience

• You have 3+ years of software development experience.

• You have strong programming experience in at least one modern language (Java preferred, Python, C#, or C++).

• You have experience developing web applications, RESTful APIs, and microservices.

• You have strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.

• You have experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

• You have proficiency in SQL development, data analysis, and query optimisation.

• You have experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.

Technical Expertise

• You have backend expertise in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, Maven or Gradle.

• You have cloud expertise in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, with exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

• You have DevOps and Agile tool expertise in Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus, and Git.

• You have preferred qualifications in financial services, banking, FinTech, or capital markets domains.

• You have knowledge of distributed systems, event‑driven architectures, and automated testing frameworks.

• You have exposure to cloud‑native application development and secure coding standards.
