In this role, you'll:
Working as part of a team delivering evidence-based analysis, intelligence, and insights to support boating safety, operational planning, performance, and strategic decision-making across NSW Maritime. This role will see you collecting, cleaning, converting, manipulating and analysing data, developing reporting and visualisation solutions, supporting data projects, and providing actionable insights that drive operational effectiveness and continuous improvement.
You will build actionable insights, data-driven efficiencies and informed decision-making in a dynamic operational environment that balances regulatory priorities, boating safety outcomes, stakeholder needs and competing business demands.

About you
You have a thorough understanding of working in an operational environment. You're recognized as a highly analytical, adaptable and solutions-focused professional, skilled at developing reports, dashboards and data visualisations, creating complex SQL queries, presenting findings to diverse audiences, and tailoring communication to meet stakeholder needs.
Experienced in data modelling, database development, statistical analysis, business intelligence tools such as Power BI, and working within fast-paced and complex operational environments, you consistently deliver actionable insights, foster collaborative stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making.
The is a permanent role based in Rozelle- Sydney. The salary for this position is Transport Maritime Officer MA13 ($144,574.00) per annum plus superannuation.
