The Customer & Commercial Success (CCS) organization turns Microsoft’s commercial strategy into execution at scale. Within CCS, the Security Customer Success team helps customers strengthen their security posture and realize value from Microsoft Security solutions across identity, data, applications, infrastructure, and security operations.
As a Cloud Solution Architect Manager - Security, you will lead a team of Cloud Solution Architects who help customers achieve secure business outcomes from their Microsoft investments. You will coach the team to become trusted technical advisors, guide customer security transformation, remove blockers to adoption, and deliver against customer success and business priorities. At the M4 level, you will manage a focused team and customer portfolio, translating strategy into disciplined execution through empowerment, accountability, modelling, coaching, and care. This role is Microsoft onsite only.
Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of Security Cloud Solution Architects to deliver customer objectives and Microsoft business priorities. Build an inclusive, accountable team culture and support each team member’s growth.
- Customer Success: Guide the team to become trusted advisors to customers and partners, using security expertise across Microsoft 365 and Azure to deliver agreed Customer Success Plan outcomes and improve customer satisfaction.
- Security Transformation: Lead the team in helping customers advance Zero Trust, identity, threat protection, security operations, data security, cloud security, and related AI-enabled security scenarios.
- Business Impact: Coach the team to identify and progress opportunities that increase adoption, usage, consumed revenue, and customer value from Microsoft Security investments.
- Technical Leadership: Maintain sufficient breadth across foundational security, AI, and architecture design to guide quality technical engagements, remove blockers, and ensure solutions follow Microsoft best practices and use repeatable intellectual property.
- Operational Excellence: Run a focused customer portfolio with disciplined planning, accurate milestones, healthy pipeline and delivery reviews, risk management, and clear accountability for key performance indicators.
- Capability and Community: Foster continuous learning and technical intensity through coaching, skilling, community participation, and contribution to reusable guidance and customer insights.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or a related field and 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud or infrastructure technologies, technology consulting, architecture, support, or solution delivery; or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience leading technical projects, teams, or functions, including coaching or people leadership responsibilities.
- 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, with demonstrated ability to communicate with technical decision makers and business stakeholders.
- Broad security experience with working knowledge of Zero Trust, identity and access, threat protection, security operations including SIEM/SOAR and XDR, cloud security, and data security.
- Experience translating customer objectives into executable technical plans, resolving adoption blockers, and driving measurable usage or business outcomes.
- Preferred: Masters in Cybersecurity or relevant security or cloud certification from Microsoft or another recognized provider, and experience developing and motivating diverse technical talent.
