Job: Junior Financial Analyst

Job Profile

As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will support core accounting and financial operations across multiple operating companies. You will execute key finance processes including general ledger (GL) accounting, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and month-end close activities.

This role provides an opportunity to deepen your accounting expertise and support financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP while gaining exposure to global operations and Banyan’s acquisition-driven model. You will also contribute to process improvement initiatives, including the use of automation and AI tools, while supporting integration of newly acquired entities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries and financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process and review GL, AP, and AR transactions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support day-to-day accounting operations across assigned entities.
  • Assist in audit processes and ensure proper documentation.
  • Support cash flow tracking and reporting.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting data preparation.
  • Perform variance analysis with guidance from senior team members.
  • Prepare recurring and ad-hoc financial reports.
  • Support integration of newly acquired operating companies, including reconciliations and process alignment.
  • Assist in preparation of basic acquisition accounting schedules.
  • Follow and contribute to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support automation and AI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Experience with GL, AP, AR, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Excel; ERP experience (NetSuite preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.
