Why This Role Exists

Innovapptive is expanding its mobile engineering capabilities to deliver next-generation connected worker experiences for industrial frontline users.

As a Senior Android Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and building scalable, high-performance Android applications that enable frontline workers across global enterprises to execute critical operational workflows.

You will help define mobile architecture, drive engineering excellence, and build reliable applications that operate in complex industrial environments where performance, usability, and offline reliability are essential.

What You Own

• End-to-end development of enterprise-grade Android applications.
• Design and implementation of scalable Android application architecture.
• Building intuitive and high-performance mobile experiences.
• Ownership of features from design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Android coding standards, best practices, and engineering excellence.
• Code reviews and technical guidance for engineering teams.
• Performance optimization and application reliability.
• Integration with backend services, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Unit testing and automation practices for mobile applications.
• Collaboration with Product, UX, Backend, QA, and Engineering teams.

You Must Have

• 5+ years of professional experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
• Extensive hands-on experience with:

Android SDK

Android Studio

Kotlin development ecosystem

Android application lifecycle

Material Design and UI development

• Strong understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM/MVI.
• Experience designing scalable and maintainable mobile application architectures.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Experience writing unit tests using frameworks such as JUnit.
• Proven experience delivering production-grade Android applications.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience building enterprise mobility applications.
• Experience developing offline-first mobile applications.
• Experience working with mobile applications used by frontline workers.
• Knowledge of Jetpack Compose and modern Android development practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience working with global product teams.
