Summary

The Senior Manager, Engineering is responsible for leading the Maintenance & Operations (M&O) Tower and supporting multiple technology migration and transformation programs. This role ensures the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of enterprise platforms while providing operational leadership for production support, service management, operational readiness, and migration activities. The position partners with business, engineering, infrastructure, security, and program teams to deliver high-quality services and successful transition of new capabilities into steady-state operations.

Your role in our mission

  • Lead the Maintenance & Operations organization, ensuring high availability, reliability, security, and operational excellence across all supported platforms and applications.
  • Direct Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Service Management, and Production Support functions while maintaining SLAs, KPIs, and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Oversee large-scale migration, modernization, and transformation programs, including planning, design, implementation, cutover, hypercare, and transition to steady-state support.
  • Provide strategic leadership for engineering teams responsible for product development, system enhancements, platform modernization, testing, and operational support.
  • Allocate resources across multiple programs and operational initiatives, ensuring delivery commitments, quality standards, timelines, and business objectives are achieved.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, clients, vendors, and technology teams to define requirements, evaluate solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement through adoption of industry best practices, emerging technologies, automation, operational efficiencies, and process optimization.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks, SOPs, runbooks, support models, engineering standards, compliance controls, and risk management processes.
  • Provide technical leadership for solution design, troubleshooting, performance optimization, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex operational and engineering challenges.
  • Manage departmental budgets, financial planning, vendor relationships, workforce planning, and resource forecasting to ensure effective utilization of organizational investments.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Monitor technology trends, business demands, customer needs, and market developments to influence strategic planning and future-state roadmaps.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting and performance insights related to operational health, program status, engineering effectiveness, financial performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive Leadership Experience: 15+ years in IT, including 8+ years in engineering, operations, and technology leadership roles.
  • Operations & Service Management: Proven experience leading enterprise production support teams with strong knowledge of SDLC, ITIL, and operational governance.
  • Transformation & Modernization: Experience supporting large scale migration, business transformation, and technology modernization initiatives.
  • Stakeholder & Team Leadership: Successful management of cross functional teams, vendors, and key stakeholder relationships.
  • Enterprise Expertise: Strong communication, problem solving, decision making, and leadership skills within highly regulated environments.

The pay range for this position is $122,200.00 - $174,600.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
