Heartline Staffing is recruiting an HVAC/R Project Manager for a position in Weymouth, Massachusetts. This role oversees the day-to-day execution and documentation of HVAC/R installation projects, ensuring work is completed according to scope, budget, schedule, quality, code, and safety requirements.
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating labor, subcontractors, materials, equipment, general contractors, and other trades while partnering with the Install Manager on project financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Manage multiple HVAC/R installation projects from execution through close-out.
- Coordinate subcontractors, installation crews, labor, materials, equipment, general contractors, and other trades.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, cost estimates, and work plans.
- Oversee procurement of equipment, rough materials, and specification compliance.
- Manage RFIs, Change Orders, contract-document revisions, and project documentation.
- Monitor project performance and make adjustments to support scope, budget, timeline, quality, code, and safety requirements.
- Provide oversight and guidance to Assistant Project Managers and Foremen.
COMPENSATION
- $100,000–$130,000 annual salary
CONTRACT & FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
- Review contracts for project scope.
- Pull permits and provide required insurance certificates.
- Calculate project cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.
- Conduct budget reviews in collaboration with the Install Manager and Estimator.
- Review AIA billing, progress billing, and project close-out invoicing.
- Manage RFIs, Change Orders, and contract-document changes.
PROJECT EXECUTION & PROCUREMENT
- Manage procurement of rough materials and equipment while ensuring specification compliance.
- Select appropriate construction methods and teams based on project requirements and budget.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Monitor project progress and performance and make adjustments as needed.
- Ensure projects meet or exceed applicable code and safety requirements.
FIELD COORDINATION & LEADERSHIP
- Coordinate workforce scheduling with the Install Manager, Foremen, and other trades.
- Communicate technical information and scope of work to field personnel.
- Assist field teams with project layouts as needed.
- Provide feedback and guidance to Foremen to support professional growth and project success.
- Maintain positive customer relationships and respond promptly to concerns or project issues.
REPORTING & COMMUNICATION
- Provide consistent updates to stakeholders regarding project strategy and progress.
- Track and analyze direct labor productivity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in project meetings, workshops, and training seminars.

- Minimum 5+ years of project management experience supervising installation crews REQUIRED
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record REQUIRED
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with complex interdependencies REQUIRED
- Proven ability to complete projects according to scope, budget, and timeline REQUIRED
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Procore, and project management software and methodologies REQUIRED
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills REQUIRED
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication REQUIRED
Preferred
- HVAC Mechanical Contracting industry experience
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management
- Journeyman License
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
