Job DetailsJob Location: Pack Square Asheville - Asheville, NC 28801Position Type: Full TimeSummit Design and Engineering is currently seeking applicants for a Survey Project Manager for full time employment in multiple locations in North Carolina including the Raleigh Durham area, Asheville, Wilmington, and Charlotte. To be considered for this position, one must be a Professional Land Surveyor. As a Project Manager, this position will be primarily responsible for Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, As-builts and Easements, and ALTA Surveys. This position offers an excellent opportunity to have a guided career growth path, in a supportive environment and team atmosphere. Salary will be commensurate with experience and training.

Responsibilities: - Plan and monitor projects paying attention to budget, schedule, scope, risk, and quality - Manage, support, and utilize field and CAD technicians - Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D , and/or oversee drafting technicians - Perform deed/plat/records research - Analyze and adjust field data - Oversee and/or determine Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, As-Builts and Easements, and ALTA Surveys - Communicate with clients and other stakeholders including architects, engineers, and construction personnel. - Maintain company standards and procedures - Adhere to Summit Core ValuesQualificationsRequired Qualifications: - North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor licensure - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a PLS - GPS, RTK, VRS and robotic total station survey experience - Must be a willing and able to listen, learn, and teach others - Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment - Excellent problem-solving skills and understanding of mapping concepts - Ability to be adaptable - Valid driver’s license and good driving record - High School Diploma or G.E.D
Preferred Qualifications: - Also licensed in South Carolina as a PLS - Ability to use Trimble Business Center - Familiarity with using spreadsheets and Microsoft Word - Experience with NCDOT projects as well as private-side surveying is a plus
