Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and detail oriented Software Test Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation. The ideal candidate should possess strong testing fundamentals, hands on automation experience, excellent communication skills, and a quality first mindset. This role offers an opportunity to work with modern technologies, AI driven testing approaches, and CI/CD practices while contributing to the delivery of high quality software products.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring the quality of product features and enhancements.
- Understand business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Identify gaps, ambiguities, and inconsistencies in requirements and collaborate with Product Owners and Development teams.
- Create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, End to End, Smoke, and Sanity Testing.
- Perform Non Functional Testing including Performance, Security, Accessibility, Compatibility, and Reliability testing.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases using Java, TypeScript, Selenium, and Playwright.
- Continuously identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and efficiency.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives.
- Validate REST APIs, databases, and service integrations.
- Log, track, and verify defects while working closely with developers for effective resolution.
- Setup and maintain test environments and test data.
- Leverage AI powered tools and techniques to improve test design, automation, defect analysis, and quality insights.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and sprint ceremonies.
- Maintain functional and technical knowledge of the application landscape.
- Collaborate effectively with cross functional teams across locations.
- Mentor junior team members and share knowledge on testing practices, tools, and frameworks.
- Follow industry best practices, quality standards, and team SDLC guidelines.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend process improvements for quality engineering.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Software Testing and QA Automation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Hands on experience in test automation using Selenium and Playwright.
- Strong programming skills in Java and/or TypeScript.
- Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts and design principles.
- Experience in API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent tools.
- Experience in Web Application and Cross Browser Testing.
- Experience in Database Testing and SQL queries.
- Strong test validation, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and release processes.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus.
- Exposure to AI assisted testing tools and modern Quality Engineering practices is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
