Responsibilities:
- He/She ensures that architectural decisions support business objectives, scalability, security, availability, performance, cost efficiency, and regulatory constraints.
- Acts as the technical reference for D1 architecture and ensures that the product
- evolves consistently with the cloud strategy, technology roadmap, and reuse policies of the organization.
- Define and maintain the global software architecture of D1, including application layers, integration patterns, APIs, data flows, and infrastructure dependencies.
- Establish and document architecture principles, reference patterns, and reusable components aligned
- with product strategy.
- Approve major architectural decisions and validate technical trade-offs (performance, cost, risk, maintainability).
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation (IcePanel).
- Define cloud-native architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven architecture, containerization, Kubernetes, serverless).
- Ensure scalability, resilience, high availability, and disaster recovery mechanisms are built-in.
- Drive multi-tenancy strategy, data isolation models, and environment segmentation.
- Contribute to FinOps practices by promoting cost-aware architecture decisions.
- Support cloud transformation initiatives and modernization roadmaps.
- Delivery Support & Technical Leadership
- Support and coach Squads Technical Leaders and engineering squads during design and implementation phases.
- Participate in backlog refinement for architecture-impacting features.
- Help prioritize technical enablers and architectural refactoring.
- Facilitate technical decision-making and resolve cross-squad technical conflicts.
- Promote DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and observability best practices.
- Security, Compliance & Quality by Design
- Ensure architecture integrates security-by-design principles in collaboration with SSA.
- Work with Lead Security to ensure alignment with the Engineering Security Framework.
- Embed compliance constraints (e.g., data protection, PCI DSS where applicable) into solution design.
- Ensure non-functional requirements (performance, robustness, auditability, traceability) are addressed early in design.
- Maintain a technology watch on cloud, SaaS, DevOps, and software architecture trends.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, experimentation, and prototyping.
- Promote reuse, simplification, and technical debt reduction strategies.
- Contribute to internal engineering communities and knowledge sharing, especially with Squads Technical Leaders.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Minimum 8–10 years in software engineering, including significant experience in solution/software architecture within cloud or SaaS environments.
- Strategic thinking with hands-on technical capability

- Ability to challenge constructively
- Strong Technical area in Cloud architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes, containers, microservices, API design (REST, event-driven, messaging systems), Database architecture (SQL/NoSQL), CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, Observability (logging, monitoring, tracing), Performance and scalability engineering
- Familiar with Software security fundamentals (IAM, encryption, secure coding)
- Knowledge of regulatory constraints (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS) is a plus
