About the Role
You will join a reporting-focused team working with business-critical data flows and reporting solutions in an environment that is moving from legacy platforms to a modern cloud-based data ecosystem on Google Cloud Platform. In this role, you combine hands-on engineering with technical design and help shape how data is made accessible, reliable, and easy to use across the organization.
You will work closely with architects, product owners, and other stakeholders to connect legacy systems with a modern cloud-native architecture. This is a great fit if you enjoy modernizing complex data landscapes and want real influence over both design decisions and technical direction.
Job Description
- You will drive and contribute to the technical roadmap for data and integration solutions within the reporting domain.
- You will work hands-on with technical design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications and data solutions.
- You will design, build, and modernize data pipelines, APIs, and data products.
- You will help bridge legacy systems with a modern cloud-native architecture on GCP.
- You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders across the organization to turn business needs into robust technical solutions.
- You will help ensure that solutions align with technical standards, best practices, and target architecture.
- You will contribute in an agile team where collaboration, technical quality, and continuous improvement are central to the way of working.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in software development and data engineering.
- Proven hands-on experience delivering solutions on GCP or a similar cloud platform.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience working with BigQuery.
- Experience building scalable data solutions using technologies such as BigQuery, Dataform, Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Docker.
- Solid understanding of modern data architectures, including data warehousing and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with ETL processes and data modelling, including dimensional modelling and/or Data Vault.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
- You are comfortable working in complex environments and collaborating closely with others in agile teams.
- Fluent Swedish and English.
