We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Finance Analyst to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.  

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for working with Operations and other business areas to perform a variety of financial activities, including analysis, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting. In this role, you will provide internal stakeholders with insights into trends, opportunities for improvement, and the implications of business decisions.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting financial analysis to identify and explain variances, monitor trends, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
  • Preparing monthly financial reports, variance analysis, and commentary to support business decision-making.
  • Preparing and reviewing annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Reviewing financial analysis and reporting prepared by other team members to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Conducting scenario modeling, ROI analysis, and profitability assessments.
  • Collaborating with business partners to review financial processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the implementation of enhancements.
  • Providing financial insights and recommendations to management, explaining the financial impact of business decisions, and responding to ad hoc requests.
  • Preparing financial requirement documentation to support year-end audits for strategic initiatives.
  • Representing the finance team on cross-functional projects and providing financial expertise and support as required.

 

You have:

  • A CPA designation or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years of financial accounting experience, ideally within a retail environment.
  • Experience with financial software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Power BI).
  • Experience with financial statement reporting and working with budgets.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in full-cycle accounting or auditing is considered an asset.

$85,062.00 - $106,328.00The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
