Accountabilities: As a Java Backend Developer specialized in AI-assisted code analysis, you will support the evolution of software applications by combining technical expertise with modern development tools. You will be responsible for improving existing systems, implementing best practices, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

• Participate in software solution design and architecture discussions to support the development of robust applications.

• Review, refactor, optimize, and improve source code using Generative AI tools and software engineering best practices.

• Analyze Java and Spring Boot applications to ensure performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.

• Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Devin to accelerate code reviews, refactoring, documentation, and technical improvements.

• Document technical solutions, changes, and improvements using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and/or ALM.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify technical bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.

• Support the adoption of backend and frontend development best practices.

• Contribute to CI/CD process improvements and DevOps practices.

• Work closely with production support teams to monitor, analyze, and resolve technical issues.

• Help reduce technical debt and improve overall software quality through continuous optimization.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced software developer with strong backend knowledge, interest in Artificial Intelligence applied to development workflows, and the ability to work in dynamic technical environments.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer.

• Hands-on experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Devin.

• Strong experience improving code quality, refactoring applications, and reducing technical debt.

• Solid knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Maven, Node.js (JADE), HTML, and Oracle databases.

• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and microservices architectures.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and DevOps practices.

• Strong understanding of software security and quality tools such as Fortify and SonarQube.

• Experience working with distributed systems and cloud platforms is a plus.

• Knowledge of Treasury products, financial markets, or financial services environments is considered an advantage.

• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-changing priorities.

• Availability to work on-call schedules or shifts when required.

• English proficiency at B2 level and Spanish proficiency at B2 level.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
