The AI Research and Development Group of Agile Robots is looking for a Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) AI Projects, who will coordinate the planning, delivery, and resourcing of AI and robotics projects across engineering, research, and operations teams.

Your Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Define objectives, plan, and schedule projects, owning task allocation, resourcing, and execution through to deployment across distributed stakeholder locations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the interface between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, maintaining alignment on goals, milestones, and progress.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate cross-functional project teams and facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Risk Management: Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and resolve issues that threaten milestones or delivery commitments.
  • Hardware Procurement: Manage procurement of hardware and related equipment, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders on acquisition, delivery, and allocation within project budgets.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate and refine project workflows and run post-project reviews to capture lessons learned.

Essential Skills

  • Background: Degree in robotics, computer science, mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience managing technical projects.
  • Project Management: Experience managing complex technical projects with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), preferably in automation or robotics environments.
  • Communication: Verbal and written communication that translates technical concepts for varied audiences.
  • Technical Grounding: Working understanding of robotic system components, including sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces.
  • Language: Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Beneficial Skills

  • Technical Tools: Experience with ROS, Python, and Linux-based environments.
  • Chinese Language: Proficiency in Chinese.
  • Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel to stakeholder and customer locations (25–40%), primarily in East Asia.
