Job Overview:

The Student Information System (SIS) Administrator and Technology Support position serves as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the organization's proprietary, internally developed cloud-based Student Information System (SIS) while providing comprehensive technology support for school staff

The SIS Administrator works closely with school leadership, registrars, teachers, and software developers to support enrollment, attendance, scheduling, grading, reporting, and other mission-critical school operations.

In addition to SIS administration, this position provides remote and on-site technology support for the Tempe campus and two additional East Valley campuses, supports technology implementations, assists with Microsoft 365 and infrastructure administration, and helps maintain a secure, reliable technology environment that supports teaching, learning, and school operations.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Student Information System (SIS) Administration (Primary Responsibility)
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the organization's proprietary, internally developed cloud-based Student Information System (SIS).
  • Develop expertise in all aspects of the SIS, including system functionality, workflows, security, user administration, reporting, and data management.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert and first point of contact for all SIS-related questions and support requests.
  • Configure and maintain user accounts, permissions, and role-based security.
  • Support enrollment, registration, attendance, scheduling, grading, report cards, transcripts, discipline, state reporting, and other SIS functions.
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues by working closely with school staff and software developers to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Serve as the liaison between school administrators, teachers, office staff, and the software development team by gathering business requirements, documenting enhancement requests, and communicating user needs.
  • Participate in planning, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) of new features, software updates, bug fixes, and system enhancements prior to production deployment.
  • Coordinate software releases by communicating system updates, maintenance windows, and new functionality to users.
  • Document issues, enhancement requests, business processes, and user requirements to support continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Valid Arizona driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel between campus locations.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required fingerprinting, background screening, and any other pre-employment requirements in accordance with Arizona law and school policy.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience providing technical support in a business or educational environment.
  • Experience administering, supporting, or serving as a power user of a Student Information System (SIS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), or other enterprise business applications are strongly preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with software developers, participating in software testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), software implementations, or application administration is highly desirable.
  • Experience in supporting cloud-based software applications and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms is preferred.
  • Experience providing end-user training, developing user documentation, and supporting business process improvements is preferred.
  • Experience in a K–12 educational environment is highly desirable.
