This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a PowerBI and Data Analyst (FP&A and Business Systems) based in India.
This is an exciting opportunity to sit at the intersection of Finance, Data, and Technology while helping transform how an international business uses information to make decisions. You will build and shape Finance and FP&A reporting capabilities, turning complex financial and operational data into trusted, actionable insights. The role combines hands-on Power BI development with data modelling, SQL, financial analysis, and business systems. You will help move reporting from manual processes toward automated, scalable, and high-performing business intelligence solutions. Working closely with Finance, FP&A, Data, Technology, and commercial stakeholders, you will become a trusted partner for reporting and analytics. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to build meaningful solutions, improve data quality, and directly influence smarter business decisions.

Accountabilities:
- Power BI & Business Intelligence: Design, build, and maintain engaging Power BI dashboards and reports supporting Finance and FP&A, covering revenue, profitability, budgets, forecasts, costs, client performance, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Data Transformation: Transform data from Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Cosmos DB, and other enterprise systems into accurate, reporting-ready datasets using Power Query, SQL, and the broader Microsoft data ecosystem.
- Data Modelling: Develop robust semantic models, dimensional data structures, star schemas, relationships, and DAX calculations that provide reliable foundations for business reporting and decision-making.
- Financial Reporting: Translate business and Finance requirements into meaningful reports, KPIs, analytical insights, and scalable reporting solutions that support planning and performance management.
- Data Quality & Governance: Ensure reporting outputs reconcile accurately to source systems, investigate data quality issues, apply consistent KPI definitions, and maintain appropriate governance and security standards.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize Power BI models and reports for performance, usability, scalability, and reliability while identifying opportunities to automate and streamline reporting processes.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation covering datasets, business rules, calculations, reporting logic, and other key elements required for sustainable BI solutions.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Data, Technology, and commercial teams, building strong relationships and becoming a trusted advisor for reporting and analytics.
- Communication & Insights: Present data-driven insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, simplifying complex information into actionable conclusions.
Requirements
- Power BI Expertise: Strong commercial experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards, with advanced capabilities in Power Query, DAX, and Power BI data modelling.
- SQL & Data Transformation: Strong SQL skills and the ability to independently investigate, validate, cleanse, transform, and combine datasets in a business environment.
- Enterprise Data Experience: Experience working with Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics 365 data, or similarly complex ERP, CRM, or operational datasets.
- Data Modelling: Strong understanding of dimensional modelling principles, including star schemas, facts, dimensions, relationship design, and scalable semantic models.
- Reporting Solutions: Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate them into effective, scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
- Finance & FP&A: Confidence working with financial data and Finance stakeholders, with a strong understanding of budgets, forecasts, actuals, profitability analysis, variance reporting, and management reporting.
- Data Preparation: Experience building reporting solutions that involve substantial data preparation, transformation, reconciliation, and validation.
- Microsoft Data Ecosystem: Experience with Azure Cosmos DB, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, or SQL Server is a plus.
- BI Platforms & Deployment: Exposure to Power BI Service administration, deployment pipelines, Dataflows, source control, structured BI deployment practices, CI/CD, or modern Microsoft data platforms such as Fabric Lakehouse and Warehousing is advantageous.
- FP&A Systems: Experience with budgeting, planning, or FP&A systems is beneficial.
- Analytical Mindset: Curious and analytical, with an interest in understanding the story behind the data rather than simply producing dashboards.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
