Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) to provide unique and timely analysis on a range of pressing, operationally-focused issues using multi-source data in the context of interdisciplinary techniques and methods. This position will be based out of Washington, DC and offers no remote flexibility.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and apply a wide array of decision analytics, mathematical and statistical methods, data mining pipelines, and modeling and simulation (M&S) tools.
  • Translate complex, multi-source datasets into intuitive decision-support tools, frameworks, and actionable operational recommendations.
  • Apply military and U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) context to evaluate operational planning problems and present findings to executive leadership.
  • Define, analyze, and report on operational metrics to assess mission effectiveness and optimize resource allocation.

What you need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Data Science, Operations Research, or Engineering, or other related degree.
  • At least 8 years of experience solving operational challenges and analytic problems by designing, developing, and applying decision analytics, mathematical and statistical techniques, or modeling and simulation (or 12 years of experience in lieu of a college degree)
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Ability to analyze, report, and develop recommendations and assessments on data related to operational metics
  • Ability to develop decision support tools and models using operations research principles
  • Experience with the DoW and/or the IC

What we'd like you to have

  • Experience in IC domains including all-source intelligence, planning, operations, or targeting
  • Ability to work a non-standard or shift schedule
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Current CI polygraph
  • Master’s degree in Operations Research
