Job Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer you will work as part of a team of skilled engineers accountable for participating in the entire lifecycle of the products including design, development, maintenance & testing. As part of this function, you will build a deep working knowledge of core NetApp technologies, cloud technologies, storage systems and more. You will also actively participate in the coding and design process right from incubation to completion of the product. You will participate in technical discussions within the immediate group and across functions, where evaluating and executing design and development plans for products are reviewed. You will be building and architecting cloud-scale products that will be used by thousands of customers.
Job Requirements
- Excellent Problem solver, proficient coder and a designer.
- Thorough understanding and extensive experience with Data protection technologies having hands-on experience in designing and developing Backup/Restore software.
- Proficient with any of the languages C, C++ or Golang.
- Experience with Python, Java/C-sharp is added advantage. Thorough understanding of Linux or other Unix-like Operating Systems.
- Strong in Data Structure and algorithms.
- Expertise in REST API design and implementation.
- Prior experience with Filesystem development and Distributed system design is desirable.
- Understanding of Container based technologies preferably Kubernetes & Dockers and experience with Cloud service APIs (e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP) is desirable.
- Knowledge of infrastructure like hypervisor, Cloud Storage and experience with cloud services including Databases, Caching, Object and Block Storage, Scaling, Monitoring, Load Balancers, Networking etc. is added advantage..
- Work on development, bug fixes/updates, spec updates, customer RCAs and automation.
Education
IC - Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.Mgr & Exec - Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
