Job Description/Summary
Responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large financial and other datasets to identify and summarize information which support the agency’s financial operations and decision-making. This position will involve a wide range of activities and projects to assist in maximizing the utilization and allocation of financial resources from multiple funding streams. This position requires strong analytical, project management and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
1. Data Quality and Integrity
- Ensure that critical financial reporting systems essential for decision making are accurate, consistent, and reliable throughout their lifecycle
- Access, review and analyze computer-generated reports to identify and correct potential coding errors
2. Collect Data
- Access and gather data from multiple sources, including financial databases, and third-party sources
3. Create and Support Reporting Processes
- Create and maintain processes which generate accurate and timely reports which support stakeholders understand the utilization of resources
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- When required engage with managers from various departments to identify data requirements and analyses tailored to the objectives of specific
4. Develop Automated Processes To Support Financial Operations
- Design reports, scripts and tools to automatically extract large volumes of data from websites or other digital sources, improving access
5. Interpret Data
- Review, analyze and identify trends and patterns re: resource utilization and opportunities for improvement
- Utilize data to assist in the preparation and submission of financial reports / claims for payment required from various funders
- Employ statistical techniques and automated tools to analyze data and generate actionable business insights
- Design and develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making with finance and potentially other departments
6. Performs Complex Analyses
- Conduct in-depth data analysis using advanced statistical methods and tools to identify patterns and trends
7. Maintaining Databases
- Managing and updating key databases to ensure their security, accessibility and data integrity.
8. Collaboration
- Work in close collaboration with the CFO, comptroller and other finance / program staff as needed in the process of aligning the agency’s financial and service delivery priorities
- Collaborate with the CFO, comptroller and finance team to identify and prioritize project management.

- Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.
- Demonstrate superior communication and presentation capabilities, adept at simplifying complex data insights for audiences without a technical background.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Proficiency in communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis (healthcare experience is a plus, but not required)
Qualifications
- Education - Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline is required, with prior experience in data analysis or a related field.
- Experience - Possess a solid foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (such as Excel, Access). Familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
