About the Role
As a Cybersecurity Program Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of HARMAN’s strategic cybersecurity initiatives. This is an individual contributor role responsible for managing complex, cross-functional projects that strengthen the organization's security posture, reduce cyber risk, and support business objectives. Working closely with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Cloud, Digital Workplace, Engineering, and business stakeholders, you will coordinate enterprise-wide security initiatives ranging from infrastructure hardening to deployment of new security technologies. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with HARMAN's cybersecurity strategy and governance standards.
What You Will Do
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise cybersecurity projects from initiation through implementation and operational transition.
- Manage a portfolio of cybersecurity initiatives, including infrastructure hardening, security tool deployments, vulnerability remediation programs, penetration testing engagements, compliance initiatives, and security modernization efforts.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, risk registers, and executive status reporting for multiple concurrent projects.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Cloud, End User Services, Engineering, Procurement, and business organizations.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests while ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder alignment.
Establish project governance frameworks, communication plans, and executive reporting mechanisms.
- Partner with cybersecurity architects and technical leads to translate business and security requirements into executable project plans.
Coordinate internal and third-party penetration testing activities and ensure findings are remediated and validated.
- Oversee implementation and integration of new cybersecurity technologies into existing operational environments.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, consulting partners, and third-party service providers supporting cybersecurity initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement of cybersecurity project management processes, standards, and delivery methodologies.
- Ensure project deliverables align with HARMAN cybersecurity policies, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture standards.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in project/program management, with at least 3+ years managing cybersecurity or information security initiatives.
- Proven experience delivering complex, enterprise-scale technology or cybersecurity programs.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including vulnerability management, penetration testing, risk management, security controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in matrixed, global organizations.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, timelines, resources, risks, and dependencies.
- Experience working with third-party vendors, consulting partners, and managed service providers.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid delivery models.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Bonus Points if You Have
- PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification.
- CISSP, CISM, CRISC, Security+, or other cybersecurity-related certifications.
- Experience with cloud security programs across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and SOC standards.
- Experience managing security transformation, Zero Trust, Identity & Access Management (IAM), or Security Operations projects.
- Prior experience within automotive, manufacturing, or global enterprise environments.
