POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position will report to the IT Director and be a critical member of the overall IT organization. The position is expected to provide daily support for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, enhancement projects and lean initiatives related to our core enterprise application systems. The role requires a functional knowledge of functional modules, particularly in order management, AR, AP, GL, procurement, shipping, operations etc. The role will also be supporting multiple 3rd party and custom applications in addition to the ERP system.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Configure, enhance, maintain, and document company databases, primarily utilizing MS SQL server.
- Identify risk and opportunity in the efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of data and reporting for MTI.
- Generate, and automate, timely and accurate business reports to support all lines of business.
- Key contributor to company-wide projects to enhance and update the data within the ERP system to provide the business with improved visibility to product costs.
- Provide support for applications, enhancement projects. and lean initiatives used at MTI.
- Help facilitate business and systems analysis discussions and translate findings into clearly defined business requirement documents / functional design documents.
- Test scripts needed to validate the functional design for a flawless delivery.
- Participate in system integration testing and user acceptance testing with the business users to ensure quality delivery.
- Work with business users to understand business processes and specific uses of business applications in meeting operational needs.
- Maintain knowledge of current and future functionality and capabilities around core business applications.
- Support corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of new solutions.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree, Computer Science or Information Technology preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in configuring and supporting mid-to-large ERPs, such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, NetSuite, Infor or similar.
- Experience with Aptean Made2Manage a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in SQL.
- SQL Server: SSRS, SSAS, SSIS.
- Business Intelligence (BI).
- Experience in testing, and deploying reports, interfaces, customizations, extensions ,and workflows to address custom business needs.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), a plus.
- Ability to collect and document business requirements, technical requirements, and process flows.
- Previous experience with SOX & CMMC compliance environments is a plus.
- Good presentation and organization skills.
- Technical acumen, creative thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a discrete manufacturing environment preferred.
