Electrician Project & Estimating Manager at Serve Electric in Sterling Heights, MI
Tired of being stuck on the tools with no path forward, or stuck at a desk with no connection to the actual work? This role is both. You'll manage real industrial electrical projects, estimate and win work, lead field crews, and own customer relationships at a Michigan contractor that's growing fast and hiring people who want to grow with it.
We're Serve Electric, an industrial electrical contractor based in Sterling Heights. We work on complex electrical systems: control panels, ESA upgrades, machine electrical at industrial facilities across Michigan and beyond. We're good at what we do, we're growing, and we need a licensed electrician who's ready to run projects and help build the business.
What you'll be doing
- Managing industrial electrical projects from kickoff through closeout: scheduling, budgeting, field supervision, and closeout documentation
- Reading and interpreting control circuits, control panels, and electrical drawings
- Overseeing (and sometimes performing) ESA upgrades to machines and equipment
- Supervising field technicians across active job sites, you're the one they call when they need answers
- Estimating labor, materials, and time, and delivering on those estimates
- Serving as the main point of contact for customers; quoting additional work and building relationships that bring repeat business
- Reviewing work orders and approving invoice
What we're looking for:
- Valid Michigan Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- 5+ years of hands-on electrical experience, ideally in industrial settings
- Experience managing electrical projects end-to-end
- Experience supervising field crews and managing project budgets
- Solid NEC code knowledge
- Clear communicator- you can talk to customers, manage expectations, and follow through
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
