This is an opportunity for a senior Java developer to build, enhance, and maintain software applications that support complex enterprise environments. You will take ownership across the development lifecycle, from designing and implementing solutions to testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. The role combines strong Java development expertise with collaboration across technical and non-technical teams. Accountabilities:

• Develop, test, and implement robust Java-based software applications aligned with business and technical requirements.

• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and enhance existing Java applications to improve reliability and functionality.

• Analyze application performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize code for scalability, efficiency, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and other non-technical partners to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

• Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to planning, collaboration, iterative delivery, and continuous improvement.

• Work with technologies and development practices such as Apache Kafka where required to support application and integration needs.

• Apply design thinking and structured problem-solving approaches to develop solutions that address complex business challenges.

• Communicate technical concepts, project progress, and proposed solutions clearly through effective storytelling and stakeholder engagement.

• Build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders while maintaining a customer-focused approach.

• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and modern software development practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a Master's degree in Software Engineering or a related field is an advantage.

• Strong professional experience in Java application development, including designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software applications.

• Solid understanding of software development principles, application performance, scalability, and code optimization.

• Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with Apache Kafka and related application integration or messaging concepts.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop practical solutions.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong client-facing skills and the ability to maintain productive professional relationships.

• Executive presence and confidence when presenting ideas, technical information, or recommendations to stakeholders.

• Strong storytelling and communication abilities, with the capacity to translate technical concepts into clear and compelling messages.

• Personal effectiveness, adaptability, and the ability to operate successfully in a fast-moving technology environment.

• English proficiency at a C2 level is required.

• Oracle Certified Java Associate certification is preferred.
