We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting
In this role, you will:
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the monthly accruals and prepayments process for third party spend, covering predominantly professional services and software licence & maintenance costs, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close.
- Prepare month-end MI packs, including variance analysis and clear commentary, and present key drivers and movements to senior management in a concise and actionable way.
- Govern and actively manage aged accruals, including investigation, challenge, resolution and appropriate follow-up with stakeholders to maintain balance sheet integrity.
- Analyze and implement process changes issued by Finance / Central Tech COO, ensuring local adoption, control adherence and consistent execution across the operating model.
- Manage the submission of pass-through billing consumption, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment to underlying contractual / consumption drivers.
- Provide analytical support on cost variances and drivers to Service lines and the Central Charges team, enabling informed decision-making and improved forecasting.
- Resolve accrual and billing-related queries by working closely with Tech Managers and relevant Finance/Operations teams, prioritizing time-critical items and delivering at pace.
- Ensuring that all the required governance is adhered to in Compliance with internal controls
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience working in a finance team, ideally supporting Technology or an equivalent fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
- Strong working knowledge of month-end accounting processes including accruals and prepayments, with a clear understanding of the operational and control complexities involved.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks, able to manage multiple competing priorities and to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Exhibits proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and PowerPoint, with a demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication.
- Experience in developing meaningful reports and metrics, alongside strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting across various management levels. Experience with analytical and business intelligence tools, including advanced MS-Office skills. Familiarity with AI tools and effective prompting (e.g., Copilot, Claude etc.) to improve productivity and output quality.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling the synthesis of complex information to make data-driven decisions that drive business outcomes. Demonstrable capability in reporting, interpreting and explaining financials (including variances and cost drivers) to senior stakeholders, using clear and confident communication.
- Resilient with strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, able to hold your own and remain constructive in conflict situations with senior management.
- Comfortable managing competing and changing priorities, responding effectively to time-critical queries and maintaining delivery discipline under pressure.
- Continuous improvement and adaptability: Ability to challenge the status quo and pursue operational excellence through continuous improvement is a key attribute. Resilience and strong influencing skills are essential, particularly in conflict situations with senior management.
