This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead critical cybersecurity and technology initiatives that strengthen enterprise security and operational resilience.You will manage complex IT security projects from strategy and planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry standards.Working across security, infrastructure, vendors, and business stakeholders, you will drive programs that protect systems, data, and organizational capabilities.The position combines project leadership, cybersecurity expertise, risk management, and process improvement in a highly collaborative environment.You will play a key role in advancing security maturity through effective governance, reporting, and execution of strategic initiatives.This is an opportunity for an experienced project leader to make a measurable impact on cybersecurity transformation and technology operations.

Accountabilities: The Senior IT Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex cybersecurity and technology projects while ensuring strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder alignment. This role requires expertise in security project management, operational improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Plan, initiate, and manage cybersecurity projects and initiatives supporting enterprise security goals and technology strategies.
  • Coordinate security project roadmaps, implementation plans, resource allocation, timelines, and delivery milestones.
  • Lead all phases of project execution, including strategy development, project charters, planning, scheduling, risk management, budgeting, and implementation.
  • Manage cybersecurity initiatives involving Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), MFA, network segmentation, data protection, and other security programs.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and impact analyses to support project prioritization and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, including architecture designs, requirements, processes, procedures, reports, and recommendations.
  • Create and manage PMO deliverables such as project charters, integrated plans, resource plans, RAID logs, and status reporting.
  • Support the development and implementation of security policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Lead audit remediation activities, including remediation plans, audit mapping, and tracking of corrective actions.
  • Establish security metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to measure project performance and outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across security processes, procedures, and project management practices.
  • Manage vendor relationships, third-party contracts, statements of work, budgets, invoices, and security assessments.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure successful delivery of security initiatives.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines strong project management capabilities with cybersecurity knowledge and experience delivering complex technology programs. This professional should be comfortable managing competing priorities, communicating with diverse stakeholders, and driving measurable outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent international degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience as an IT Project Manager, Cybersecurity Project Manager, or in a similar technology-focused role.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall approaches.
  • Experience managing cybersecurity portfolios, programs, and enterprise security initiatives.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, and ITIL.
  • Experience managing security infrastructure projects, including Active Directory, network segmentation, and Zero Trust initiatives.
  • Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and related security controls.
  • Experience with IT regulatory and compliance requirements, including SOX and PCI.
  • Strong financial management skills, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost management.
  • Experience working with tools and platforms such as ServiceNow, Oracle, and Sphere is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and lead initiatives across multiple teams.
