Job Summary

The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of business intelligence solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, Customer Support, and global stakeholders, to deliver impactful reporting and analytics capabilities. The position oversees the development of interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI and leverages Databricks for data processing, transformation, and advanced analytics. In addition, this role serves as the U.S. AI champion, helping to identify, advance, and promote practical AI use cases across the business, including AI-enabled solutions and automation opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support business performance management and decision-making.
  • Conduct data analysis, develop user acceptance testing criteria, and maintain business intelligence documentation to support solution delivery and adoption.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into effective reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Perform complex data transformations and calculations using DAX within Power BI to support business reporting needs.
  • Optimize reporting solutions for performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Leverage Databricks to support data preparation, transformation, and analytics processes.
  • Work with large and complex datasets using Databricks notebooks, Delta Lake, and Spark SQL.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business intelligence teams to ensure efficient and reliable data flow between Databricks and Power BI.
  • Promote adherence to data governance standards, including data security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate insights, recommendations, and analysis effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Apply best practices in report design, including user experience and interface design principles.
  • Serve as the U.S. AI champion by supporting the adoption of AI capabilities, identifying business use cases, and contributing to the design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions, including intelligent agents and automation initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of integrating Databricks with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation, analytics, and process automation.
  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices and user experience/interface design principles.
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience developing and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience working with Databricks in a data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence environment.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and supporting ETL or data transformation processes.
  • Hands-on experience with AI solutions, including the development of AI agents, identification of business use cases, and application of generative AI or automation tools to enhance business processes and support decision-making.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred.
  • Relevant Databricks certifications are preferred (for example, Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark).

The hiring range for this position is $ 109,933.56- $ 153,906.58 CAD per year. The final agreed-upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
