Where You’ll Work
This is a hybrid role based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. You’ll work from home most of the time, with occasional in-office days for collaboration, meetings, or team events. Candidates must be located in or near the Fredericton area preferably but we will consider candidates in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia as well.
What You Will Do
Luminultra is recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team.
The Senior Financial Analyst is a strategic business partner who helps operational leaders continually drive improvement in operational business performance through financial insight, analytics, and performance reporting. This role goes beyond traditional accounting by translating data into actionable recommendations that improve efficiency, profitability, resource allocation, and operational performance.
As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will support key organizational objectives and have key responsibilities such as:
- Partner with department leaders to provide financial insight that supports operational and strategic decision-making.
- Identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities using financial and operational data.
- Perform variance analysis and explain business drivers behind financial results.
- Analyze profitability by product, customer, channel, region, and business unit.
- Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases for strategic initiatives and capital investments.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Support month-end reporting with meaningful management commentary and analysis.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Recommend process improvements that improve scalability, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Act as key stakeholder in setting requirements for the creation of management dashboards and KPI reporting based on business needs that provide timely, actionable business insights.
- Participate as the Finance SME on finance related technology implementations and process improvement projects from initiation through completion.
This position offers a base salary range of $80,000 – $95,000 CAD depending on experience.
Who You Are
You're a self-motivated individual, who is looking for an opportunity to develop within an organization that's on a consistent growth and expansion trajectory. Additionally, you bring skills and experience such as:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- CPA designation
- 10+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, management accounting, or business analytics.
- Ability to build strong relationships as a business partner and influence decisions and outcomes.
- Proven ability to partner, operate, and influence Senior Executives (C/VP Level)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial modelling capabilities.
- Experience with ERP systems; Oracle experience is required.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM data is required.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Oracle Analytics, or similar BI tools is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of IFRS is considered an asset
- Fluency in French considered an asset
