A Brief Overview

Senior staff level corporate accounting position in a large healthcare system setting.

What You Will Do

  • Financial statement analysis
  • GAAP analysis and technical investigation of accounting issues
  • Complex account reconciliations including key accounts
  • Post journal entries
  • Bank statement reconciliations
  • Budget preparations
  • Compile statistics
  • Learn different accounting systems and billing systems
  • Create new Oracle reports as needed
  • Trains new hires in systems and methods
  • Lead on projects within the department
  • Represent department in meetings on various interdisciplinary topics
  • Respond to audit requests
  • Analyzes budget variances

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in accounting, business, or related field (Required)
  • Master's Degree in Business (Preferred)

Work Experience

  • 5+ years Accounting experience (Required)
