We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on automation skills to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of our web applications and services. This role requires deep experience with Playwright + TypeScript, solid coding fundamentals, and the ability to design and maintain scalable automation frameworks. You will work closely with developers and product owners in an Agile environment, delivering automation-first testing.
Responsibilities
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will:
- Design and execute detailed test cases for new and existing features across web applications.
- Perform a combination of manual and automated testing, with a strong emphasis on automation-first delivery.
- Build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright + TypeScript.
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to embed quality early in the development lifecycle.
- Execute functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing across web and (optionally) mobile platforms.
- Maintain and execute automation suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines (PR, nightly, release).
- Contribute to test strategy, test plans, and maintain a structured test repository.
- Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate automation, debugging, and test design.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of hands-on QA/SDET experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright + TypeScript and proven ability to design or maintain automation frameworks.
- Solid coding ability in TypeScript or Java;
- Experience with parallel execution, test data isolation, and scalable automation architecture.
- Hands-on experience with API testing, API mocking, and contract validation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Git.
- Experience with Selenium/WebDriver in addition to Playwright.
- Strong debugging skills using logs, traces, network tools, and browser devtools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
Preferred skills (nice to have)
- Experience with mobile automation
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools for automation acceleration and code review.
- Experience testing AI applications, including chat-based or agent-based systems.
- Experience designing or executing AI evals for response quality, correctness, and reliability.
