Overview

We are seeking an experienced Associate Quality Engineering Lead who will act as a validation and quality assurance expert and review the functionality of existing systems. You will conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design and lead execution to guarantee superior outcomes. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across QA initiatives, work across the full product lifecycle, partnering closely with engineering, product, and design to define test strategies, build automated testing frameworks, and proactively identify issues before they reach production.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and mentor the QA team in defining and executing comprehensive QA strategies, test plans, and test cases.
  • Drive adoption of automated testing tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and reliability.
  • Introduce and scale AI-driven QA capabilities, including intelligent test case generation, prioritization, and insights.
  • Define and establish QA metrics and KPIs to measure testing effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee defect triage, root cause analysis, and quality risk assessments across releases.
  • Stay current with industry trends in test automation, AI-assisted testing, and quality engineering practices.

Planning & Execution Test

  • Review product requirements, specifications, and user stories; translate them into detailed test plans and comprehensive test suites.
  • Define and execute test strategies for new and existing features, including:
  • Functional testing
  • End to End & Regression testing
  • Security testing (wherever applicable)
  • Exploratory and random testing
  • Ensure full verification and validation of the software stack through both manual and automated testing
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues reported by customers or internal stakeholders, driving root cause resolution.

Automation & Tools

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated test frameworks.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure scalable and maintainable automation solutions aligned with product architecture.

Defect Management

  • Own defect submission, tracking, validation, and closure throughout the SDLC.
  • Partner closely with engineering and product teams to ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
  • Monitor defect trends and implement preventive quality improvements.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with product owners and software engineers to align quality standards and priorities.
  • Participate in release planning and deployment activities, ensuring smooth and successful releases.
  • Ensure QA alignment with business goals, user expectations, and technical requirements.

Technical Quality Engineering

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Apply technical troubleshooting and risk-based testing approaches across complex systems.

Project & Delivery Support

  • Support Agile ceremonies and coordinate test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with product owners and SMEs for requirement analysis and data mapping clarifications.
  • Ensure timely QA deliverables aligned with sprint goals and release timelines.

About you

Qualifications

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience
  • 6+ years of overall experience in Software Quality Engineering
  • Strong experience leading both manual and automated testing in Agile environments
  • Experience supporting CI/CD-driven deployments
  • Strong understanding of insurance domain—policy, commissions, premiums, claims, billing etc.

Preferred:

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience testing complex, highly integrated enterprise systems, including cloud, distributed, and legacy platforms
  • Hands on experience with automated and testing tools Selenium, AccelQ, Cypress, Postman-API, AppDynamics etc. or similar tools
  • Understanding of prompt engineering principles applied to test generation and validation
  • Familiarity with AI agent frameworks applied to testing workflows
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouse platforms (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery)
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
