Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Team as a Project Manager! 🌟
Are you passionate about telecoms? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment? We're on a mission to be our customer’s most trusted advisor for cloud-based technologies. We’re looking for passionate and talented individuals to join our dynamic team. If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
What will you be doing?
The Project Manager is responsible for leading delivery across a broad and evolving portfolio of work — spanning internal platform deployment, business improvement programmes, and ongoing product and data roadmap governance. The role sits at the centre of how the business plans, executes, and sustains change, and carries accountability for delivery outcomes across all of these areas.
In the near term, this means leading the deployment of the new IO platform and managing the BCN 3.0 improvement programme through to completion, alongside ownership of the proposition development process and the continuing data roadmap. As the IO and BCN 3.0 programmes reach maturity, the focus evolves into sustained roadmap governance — maintaining the IO platform roadmap, shaping future capability development, and ensuring the data roadmap continues to progress in parallel.
Working closely with CIO team, and the rest of the Exec team, and product and commercial stakeholders, the Project Manager is accountable for effective planning, governance, stakeholder management, and delivery coordination. The role requires a technically aware and proactive individual who can manage multiple projects and priorities, maintain delivery momentum across multiple workstreams, and ensure projects and programmes are mobilised, delivered, and transitioned effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Governance
- Develop and maintain end-to-end project plans that maximise delivery efficiency, engineer utilisation, and delivery momentum. Lead the successful delivery of projects, ensuring objectives, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria are clearly defined and managed.
- Own day-to-day project coordination, keeping delivery on track against agreed timelines, budget, scope, and quality expectations. Maintain appropriate governance, reporting, and project controls based on the size and complexity of the project.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and competing priorities through effective planning and prioritisation, ensuring delivery challenges are addressed proactively.
- Support project closure activities, including final reporting, lessons learned, and timely project completion.
Programme & Platform Deployment
- Lead the end-to-end deployment of the IO platform, working with technical teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure the programme is planned, sequenced, and delivered effectively. Own programme-level governance, including milestone tracking, dependency management, risk oversight, and readiness gates through to go-live and handover.
- Manage the BCN 3.0 improvement programme through structured delivery — defining workstreams, coordinating cross-functional input, tracking progress against outcomes, and ensuring the programme remains on track and aligned to business objectives. Lead formal closure and transition of BCN 3.0 into business-as-usual, capturing lessons learned and embedding improvements.
- Take ownership of the IO, Systems and Data roadmaps — maintaining governance, prioritising future development cycles, and ensuring the roadmap remains visible, actively managed, and aligned to business direction.
Proposition Development & Data Roadmap
- Own the management of the proposition development process, working with commercial, product, and technical stakeholders to ensure new propositions are developed in a structured, governed, and timely way. Maintain visibility of the proposition pipeline, track progress through development stages, and ensure decisions, dependencies, and outputs are clearly documented and communicated.
- Maintain active ownership of the data roadmap, running alongside the broader portfolio as a continuous workstream. Ensure the roadmap is regularly reviewed, prioritised, and aligned to business needs, with clear governance, milestone tracking, and stakeholder visibility maintained throughout.
Risk & Dependency Management
- Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions proactively, escalating where appropriate.
- Work with relevant stakeholders and owners to understand delivery constraints and ensure plans remain realistic and achievable.
- Anticipate delivery risks early and take action to protect timelines, budgets, and client outcomes.
Stakeholder & Client (internal) Management
- Establish clear communication channels and engage clients early to align expectations, responsibilities, timelines, and dependencies. Ensure clients understand their required inputs, decisions, and obligations to support delivery. Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout the project. Manage expectations through regular communication, transparent reporting, and proactive issue resolution. Facilitate project meetings, workshops, status updates, and governance forums, ensuring all communication is clear, timely, and solution focused. Deliver a positive client experience through professional, responsive, and accountable project management.
Commercial & Scope Management
- Monitor project performance against budget, forecasts, and commercial expectations, escalating risks where required. Manage scope, change control, and project variations to maintain commercial protection and contractual alignment. Work closely with account managers and delivery leads to assess and manage impacts arising from changes to scope, dependencies, or timelines.
Project Readiness
- Review Statements of Work, assumptions, dependencies, and delivery risks before project initiation. Ensure client dependencies are addressed early to avoid delays, identify delivery considerations that may impact scope, resources, or timelines, and help establish clear ownership, controls, and expectations from the outset.
Reporting, Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Produce concise project status updates for stakeholders. Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, RAIDD logs, actions, and governance materials. Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities to enhance delivery practices, templates, and ways of working while ensuring consistency across project documentation and administration.
Key Outcomes / Success Measures
- IO platform deployment is planned, governed, and delivered through to go-live, with clear milestone visibility and a managed handover to business-as-usual.
- BCN 3.0 improvement programme is delivered to agreed outcomes, formally closed, and transitioned into business-as-usual with lessons learned captured and embedded.
- IO and data roadmaps are actively maintained, regularly reviewed, and aligned to business priorities, with clear governance and stakeholder visibility sustained on an ongoing basis.
- Proposition development is managed through a structured, governed process with clear pipeline visibility, decision points, and timely progression of new propositions.
- Projects are delivered to agreed timescales, budget, scope, and quality standards.
- Projects maintain momentum with minimal avoidable delays or disruption.
- Engineer utilisation optimised through effective planning, scheduling, and dependency management.
- Client dependencies are identified early, communicated clearly, and completed on time.
- Clients receive clear communication, strong coordination, and effective project leadership.
- Risks, issues, and dependencies are proactively identified and managed.
- Commercial controls, governance, reporting, and documentation are maintained throughout delivery.
- Project teams are coordinated and supported to deliver successfully.
