About the job
As a Mobile Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the development of new AI Shopping Assistant related features and improvements for our mobile applications. You will work closely with product owners, designers, and other engineers to translate user needs into robust, high-performance mobile experiences. This role is ideal for someone with solid experience in mobile development, a strong understanding of software engineering principles, and a desire to grow their expertise in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
Important things for you:
• Flexible working hours in the hybrid model (4/1) - working hours start between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We also have 30 days of occasional remote work.
• The salary range for this position depending on the skill set is as follows (contract of employment, tax-deductible cost):
• PLN 14 600 - 20 825
• Annual bonus based on your annual performance and company results.
• Our team is based in Warsaw.
What You'll Do:
• Design, develop, test, and deploy features for the Allegro mobile app, ensuring high quality, performance, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and help maintain high code quality standards.
• Be part of Allegro’s mobile community composed of more than 100 mobile developers. In our community, we actively share knowledge as part of our daily code review work and at dedicated company events. We have time dedicated to knowledge sharing as well as opportunities for personal skills development
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile technologies and industry trends.
We are looking for someone who has:
• Professional experience in native mobile application development (iOS/Swift OR Android/Kotlin).
• Understanding of mobile application architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI,Modular Architecture for iOS; Clean Architecture for Android).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and efficient data handling.
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests (experience with E2E testing to ensure reliability is a plus).
• Understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g., code generation, debugging, or prototyping) in your development process.
• Good communication skills in English and Polish, both written and spoken.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, ability to think outside the box, and a passion for creating excellent user experiences.
• Willingness to share knowledge during code reviews and collaborate closely with backend technologies and product teams.
Bonus points if you have:
• Dual-platform expertise: Professional experience in both native iOS and Android development.
• Experience with large-scale, high-traffic mobile applications.
• Knowledge of reactive programming (e.g., RxJava/RxKotlin, Combine).
• Familiarity with modern native frameworks and tools (e.g., Jetpack Compose and Coroutines for Android).
• Seamless integration of AI agents into your daily coding routine for maximum productivity and efficiency.
• Experience with A/B testing frameworks.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
